Medical research and investigation are in full swing to develop innovative methods to cure Dementia. It is certain that, without extensive research and investigation, there is no certain way to cure this fatal disease. There are some interesting outputs generated after several researches. Here are some excerpts given below:

1) Recently, it was found by the scientists that Dementia has a relation with physical activity. Decreased physical activity can cause Dementia. Though, it is not sure if it can cause Dementia in its initial stage or may already lead to the advanced stage. It is clear from this information that social lifestyle is an important factor for developing Dementia. Leading a healthy life is always good and it is true for Dementia. Leisure activities are also important as well as regular physical exercises.

2) Some researches show that aluminum deposits in human brain cells are not responsible for Dementia. It has been believed to cause Dementia but there was no scientific proof to that.

3) Researches show that Aricept may help in advanced stages of Dementia. The medicine is very costly, though. However, Dementia patients should take proven medicines and should continue with it if any improvement happens.

4) New researches claim that it is not yet clear that Dementia has genetic factor. Though, some stories of Dementia are known to be present in the same family, there is no scientific proof that has been released so far. Researchers are working on that to unveil the real truth. Therefore, it is not sure if pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is necessary to determine Alzheimer’s disease.

5) Neurodegenerative research has claimed that green tea has an effect on Alzheimer’s disease. A diet rich in folate and vitamin B12 also has good effect on Dementia. Chinese Tea ginseng may help in reducing Dementia claim some researchers.

6) Research illustrates that sense of smell has some links with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The ability to smell disappears in an Alzheimer’s patient. Lemon and lavender are two such types of odors which are not smelt by moderate Dementia patients. Though, scientists are not in a position to claim any direct relation between smell and some types of Dementia.

7) Research shows that obesity can be a reason of Dementia. An obese person in middle age can be a victim of Dementia after 65. It is always advised to lead a healthy life full with exercises by the scientists. Persons addicted to drugs in young age can lead to depression ultimately resulting Dementia.

New research shows that, excessive use of mobile phone use can cause death of brain cells and in future may result Dementia. The radiation and vibration of mobile phones have adverse effects to human brain cells.
